Mystery Critter #44

Let me get a look at that

Who’s ready to get guessing?!

It’s that time again — time to play Mystery Critter! So put on your thinking caps, grab the kids, and let’s play.

CRITTER CLUES:

  • I have horns
  • I feed in groups
  • You can find me in parks, woodlands, and even your yard
  • I can hang upside down(!)
  • I am found throughout North America

So, what am I?

Make your guess then go to eNature for the answer and more interesting facts.

Did you get it right?

If not, no worries. You will have another chance next week!

Get outside and explore the wild in your world. Spring is the perfect time to reconnect with nature.

Don’t miss a minute of the greatest show on Earth!

And don’t forget! Join the Wildobs community and share your wild adventures with the world.

“See & Hear” Nature Challenge #2

Last week, we featured Jane Kirkland’s first challenge on Red-Winged Black Birds.

Did you and your kids spot any Red-Winged Black Birds?

This week, Jane challenges us to go hunt for April flowers. OK, it’s more see than hear…but still. ;-)

As an April baby I may be a wee bit biased, but I can’t think of a more beautiful time of year to get out and explore nature!

As for the rain — make like Gene Kelly and sing & dance in it! Remember, a PLAYFUL spirit is one of the greatest gifts you can model for a child.

I would love to hear what’s in bloom in your neck of the woods. :-)

Not sure? Check out eNature’s wildflower and tree online field guides. They’re free — and you can search by your zip code!

Now, off you go.
