This week, Jane challenges us to go hunt for April flowers. OK, it’s more see than hear…but still. 
As an April baby I may be a wee bit biased, but I can’t think of a more beautiful time of year to get out and explore nature!
As for the rain — make like Gene Kelly and sing & dance in it! Remember, a PLAYFUL spirit is one of the greatest gifts you can model for a child.

What’s in bloom? At this point only crocuses and not much else. Another week or two, and maybe some trilliums and tiny native flowers…

Haven’t a clue what half the flowers are that we see on our walks, but I know they are beautiful! We’ve seen some sea fig and some dandelions. The kids love going out and looking at/for flowers. Leaves, trees, flowers, you name it

While I’m not familiar with what’s blooming around our own neck of the woods, I learned this past week in Hawaii that there are several bizzillion forms of hibiscus — and every one is simply intoxicating. Me and the big explorer seem to be falling in love with flowers this spring!
