Like a long-lost friend, spring returned this weekend, and my side of the world seemed to collectively rejoice.
Moods seemed lighter. People friendlier. Smiles are brighter.
And, the true sign of the change of seasons…it’s not the crocuses, or the Robins: it’s my bare feet. Ten little piggies, as white as they can be, tiptoeing through the grass.
Sheer joy.

I spent the weekend living in the woods (a bit cold near the moors for bare toes) but the sap is running in the birch trees…..delicious!!

we celebrated spring by planting! our oat grass has started to grow and our lettuce sprouted! in a few weeks we’ll have fresh salads of homegrown lettuce.
We also went on a signs of spring walk… and found lots of blooming flowers and heard the tree frogs!
We saw baby animals at local farms.
We love spring and are even excited for a little spring rain today! We’ve got our boots and rain pants out- ready for stomping in puddles!

Went for a hike with some friends. It was a little rainy, but still very enjoyable.
This weekend, we adopted caterpillars and will watch them morph into butterflies in the coming weeks. We also enjoyed a stroll through the neighborhood looking at all the flowers that are now making their appearance. But we definitely didn’t spend enough time barefoot!
