Cheers to mud pies and puddle jumping. To going barefoot in the grass and catching perfect snowflakes on out-stretched tongues.
Cheers to the feeling of sun on our faces and the taste of fresh berries picked from the garden. To sunsets that stretch across forever and to moments that last a life time.
Here’s to a million more lighting bugs and nights spent swapping stories around a campfire.
Cheers to the kids in all of us — and to the children’s lives we all touch in one way or another.
Thanks for spending this year with me, dear readers, and for always being welcome playmates in my sandbox. It means the world to me.

Happy, happy day! Wow — a year?! I’m so thankful to have met you just when I was getting started about six months ago. You continue to inspire and remind us that it’s ok — no, GOOD — to be a kid, act silly and get dirty whenever possible. The boys and I will enjoy a cupcake (or two) in your honor, Bethe! Of course, that will be after we’ve played in the mud, dug up some worms, climbed the tree in our backyard and gone for a nature walk!

Smelled the sunshine on the way into work. The crocus’ were up and smiling in my beds along with all the other self sufficient bulbs I so love. Cupcake looks yummy. Amazing how the calories just flew to my hips on sight. Have a great spring.
